DESCRIPTION:M. Denis RUF\nArchitecte\, enseignant\, autodidacte en histoire des cultures \nSEKEM\, une entreprise humaine unique en son genre\nLe Docteur Ibrahim Abouleish [1937-2017] rentra en Égypte en 1977 après des études de chimie et un brillant début de carrière de pharmacologue en Autriche. Son rêve\, mûri depuis des années\, était de fonder un nouveau type de communauté qui soignât autant la terre que les hommes. Il décida d’acheter 70 hectares de désert à 60 kilomètres du Caire. C’est ainsi que le projet SEKEM a débuté. \nEn 2003\, Abouleish et la communauté de SEKEM ont reçu le prix Nobel alternatif. L’année suivante\, Abouleish a été désigné par la Fondation Schwab comme l’un des dix entrepreneurs sociaux exceptionnels parce que SEKEM propose un modèle original pour une société saine au 21e siècle. \n\n\nCette page est tirée du site de l’UNAB.
